The village lies in the middle part of the Balkan Mountains, just North of the Shipka Mountain Pass. It is known for its well-preserved Bulgarian National Revival architecture and history, and is a popular tourist destination all year round. The village of Bozhentsi was proclaimed an architectural and historical reserve in 1964 and is part of UNESCO cultural monuments. The National Revival architecture has been preserved in Bozhentsi due to this, and there is a ban on the construction of any buildings that do not fit with the village style. Most of the houses in the village were built 100 – 250 years ago.

The spacious, traditional house we would like to present to your attention was built under the strict supervision of the Commission for Architectural Heritage of Bulgaria in 1999 and represents the typical style of the Bulgarian Revival Period Architecture. It is located very near the Geographical centre of Bulgaria. The name of the house is the Captains House, and it is a two star family hotel.

The hotel has 4 apartments with four beds each and an additional two bed room. Each apartment has a bathroom and WC. Electric heaters and wood burners are installed in each room to ensure the comfort in the snowy winter nights. On the ground floor there is a sauna with 6 places and an attached to it bathroom. Ecologically clean well and water pressure pump supply the hotel with the clean and fresh mountain spring water.

Attached to the main building is a restaurant with 40 seats. Solid stone fireplace and a huge wood burning oven ensure the comfort and the delicious food. The massive and heavy gate of the estate opens to a parking place for five cars and a splendid garden with an area of 700 sq.m.
